Streamside started as our own retreat. Aviva grew up near Traverse City, and we dreamed of having a private, restorative place to stay whenever we came north to visit family. When we found this home tucked among the trees, we decided to purchase it and poured ourselves into every detail of the renovation. We lived here while designing it, upgrading every finish, and adding the touches our guests have told us "make it feel special." It's a place we truly love and still use ourselves often, whenever we can.
This isn't just another rental — it's our sanctuary, and a reflection of what we value most: peace, comfort, and a deep connection to nature. Every guest who stays here becomes part of that story, and we hope you feel the same sense of wonder on the property that inspired us to create Streamside.
Streamside is packed with fun for everyone: hot tub, sauna, coffee and tea bar, outdoor game area (cornhole, horseshoes, and axe throwing!), fire pit, grill, hammock grove, Wi-Fi, fully stocked kitchen, and laundry room. We can't take credit, however, for our best amenity — the stream!

Yes! We're happy to provide firewood for our guests. Simply go into the garage, where it's kept dry, and grab some.
Cornhole, horseshoes, and axe throwing!
Our Wi-Fi is amazing. We pay for the best internet we can and upgraded our router to consistently hit well over 500 Mbps download speeds anywhere in the house.
While Traverse City is known as a summer destination, every season has its own charm. Winter brings a year-round flowing stream cutting into the snow. Fall delivers jaw-dropping foliage and smaller crowds. Spring is amazing for seeing the land come back to life. Our advice? Visit whenever you can.
We do! Longer stays (7+ days) and last-minute bookings both get automatic discounts. If you join our mailing list or have already stayed with us, keep an eye out for promotional codes.
You'll receive a 75% refund if you cancel more than 60 days before arrival, and a 50% refund if you cancel 31–60 days before arrival. No refund is available for cancellations within 30 days. A 24-hour grace period applies for free cancellation after booking, as long as check-in is at least 15 days away.
We welcome pets! We do ask for a pet fee to cover the costs of a more extensive clean and the additional wear and tear on the home.
Yes! We have all the cooking utensils and equipment needed for a homemade meal, plus cooking oils and basic spices. Bring your own groceries and you're ready to go.
We have a full coffee and tea bar overlooking the backyard, with creamer, sugar, and multiple flavors!
Yes! Many restaurants deliver to our address via UberEats, Grubhub, and other major delivery services.
